Malik Tillman in Rangers transfer twist as Ibrox club bank £1m compensation PLUS sell-on after Bayern scrap agreement

Rangers will bank a cool £1million as well as 10 per cent of any future sell-on after Bayern Munich cancelled their option to buy the USA international, it has been revealed.

The Ibrox club agreed to insert a clause into Tillman’s loan deal last season which allowed them to purchase the 21-year-old playmaker permanently for £5.8m with the Bundesliga giants then having an option to buy him back for £9m.

However, reports in Germany over the weekend revealed Bayern Munich had scrapped that agreement and the Rangers Review now reports that as part of that, the Ibrox club will receive £1m compensation AND a percentage of any future sale. That could see them cash in further with Tillman attracting interest from clubs around Europe. Tillman was voted PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year last season with 12 goals and five assists over 43 appearances for the Light Blues.
