Malik Tillman in PSV confession as sleepy former Rangers star issues apology for snoozing his alarm

Outcast Malik Tillman has issued an apology to his PSV Eindhoven teammates after being dropped by boss Peter Bosz for missing a night game due to oversleeping.

The Eindhoven boss wasn't having any of the USA international's excuses after he revealed the PSV playmaker wasn't involved in the 4-0 win over Almere City due to sleeping in - with the boss taking a hardline stance on the excuses wheeled out by the 21-year-old. The attacking midfielder has yet to kickstart his career in the Neterlands have looked certain to joins Rangers on a permanent deal after a loan stint from Bayern last season - before making the move to the Dutch side.

The Light Blues had an option to buy agreement the Ibrox side had in place was scrapped by the German heavyweights and he opted for a loan move away from the Scottish Premiership - but Tillman has yet to start a game since making the summer decision with his three appearances coming off the bench. He has now taken to social media to issue a grovelling apology to the squad.

Sharing an image of the scoreline from Saturday's victory, Tillman said: "Great performance last night. Sorry boys! Didn't want to let you down, lesson learned!"

Bosz stated that Tillman will be given a second chance and welcomed back to training. He said: “That's exactly what he did. He overslept, so I left him at home. I don't think you need to bring that up to any trainer. I was told he still wanted to come, but I said he didn't have to. He will train again tomorrow.”
