'Make this happen', 'They can have him for free' - Many Hoops fans buzz as transfer news emerges

A lot of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter following the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding a potential departure from Parkhead for Albian Ajeti.

According to reports from Switzerland (via Daily Record), the Swiss forward could be in line for a potential return to his homeland, with his former side, FC Basel, believed to be interested.

It is expected that the Swiss side may lose striker Arthur Cabral come the end of the month, with Fiorentina said to be keen on the Brazilian striker.

And with Basel potentially looking to the Celtic ace as a possible replacement, these fans flocked to Twitter to share their delight at the 24-year-old’s possible departure.

“Would he pass a medical with his current hamstring injury?”

It is not surprising these fans are not upset to hear of Ajeti’s potential departure, with the striker having only netted nine goals in his 48 Celtic appearances (via Transfermarkt).

And given the Swiss forward has scored the same number of goals this season as Odsonne Edouard – who left in August – it is apparent these fans do not feel Ajeti will be missed if he was to leave.
