'Make Rangers Great Again' Donald Trump inspires Ibrox ultras as they demand better vs Tottenham
Rangers fans unfurled a banner at Ibrox with a nod to Donald Trump as they roared: 'Make Rangers Great Again'.
Back in his 2016 election campaign, the US President used the slogan often, including on hats with the phrase in white letters, which soon became popular with his supporters as the Light Blues faithful took inspiration from the 78-year-old.
It was a deafening noise pre-match as the teams emerged onto the pitch with the Europa League anthem ringing around Ibrox. If a Battle of Britain under the lights on a Thursday night wasn't enough excuse for an electric atmosphere, chuck the Ange Postecoglou and Celtic links into the mix with Tottenham in town in a vital matchday six clash.
Ibrox has delivered some memorable European nights over the past couple of seasons in the Europa League with the noise and atmosphere widely praised on more than one occasion. Pre-match on commentary both Ally McCoist and Glenn Hoddle had nothing but praise for what was on show in Govan.
