Major interest: Wolves considering summer move for 'unstoppable' 41-cap international - report

According to TEAMtalk, Wolves are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi in the upcoming summer transfer window. 

Since joining Chelsea from French Ligue 1 side Marseille in 2016 in a move worth a reported £33million (BBC), the Belgian frontman has spent five spells away from the London outfit at four different clubs.

The 28-year-old has been sent on temporary moves to Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace before joining Besiktas for the duration of the 2021/22 campaign.

Upon making the temporary switch to Turkey, Batshuayi signed a contract extension with Chelsea until 2023, but a move may well come sooner and this one could finally be permanent.

As per the report from TEAMtalk, Wolves, Southampton, Everton, Brighton and Leeds United are all keen on the 41-cap Belgium international.

The report states that there is also interest from Germany, Italy and Spain in the frontman once described as ‘unstoppable’ by legendary Chelsea figure Pat Nevin following a brace against Watford in 2017.

Whilst there is no mention of a fee for the Belgian, having entered the final 14 months of a deal and with the London club currently in a state of ownership limbo, an affordable move may well be imminently possible come to the summer transfer window.

Possessing proven Premier League ability with 15 goals in the English top-flight, Batshuayi would be an ideal candidate to supplement Raul Jimenez in the Wanderers squad.

So far this season the powerful ace has scored 14 times and registered five assists in 28 Super Lig outings, earning an impressive 7.04 rating whilst completing 1.4 shots on target and 33.2 touches on average per game (Sofascore).
