Major Cardiff road blocked by accident
Drivers faced significant disruption on the roads in Cardiff on Monday morning due to multiple incidents. A collision at Oakfield Street in Roath, caused slow traffic on and around Newport Road, with the route closed in both directions between Upper Clifton Street and Oakfield Street.
Cardiff Bus said: "Due to an accident closing part of Newport Road all outbound services will go via Broadway and services coming inbound will go via Albany Road and City Road until further notice."
There was also slow traffic on Rover Way due to another collision but both incidents have been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
There is still some heavy congestion in the city centre with emergency gas works ongoing and a closure on Adam Street. People are being diverted to Tyndall Street and Callaghan Square.
