Maidstone United manager George Elokobi says predict National League South at your peril before visit of Hampton & Richmond Borough
George Elokobi says you predict National League South at your peril as Maidstone gear up for their latest challenge.
The Stones welcome Hampton & Richmond to the Gallagher Stadium tonight (7.45pm) for their first midweek game of the season.
Elokobi’s men have drawn their opening two matches, fixtures against Hemel Hempstead and Torquay ending 1-1, while Hampton have four points from two games, including an impressive 3-0 win at Dorking at the weekend.

“These boys, they’re playing as a team - that’s what pleases me the most,” said Elokobi.
“When you bring in individuals in the numbers of 15-plus, then, of course, in the first couple of weeks, you don’t know what you’re going to get.
“We still don’t know what we’re going to get but credit to them for working hard, they take in information and take on board our principles and they operate with a creativity.
“We’re going to get better as the season goes along.
“We’ve been here before.
“It’s important we trust what we’re doing, that we feel confident, and the players are the ones
