Maidstone United goalkeeper Lenny Holden and defender George Fowler sign new contracts at the Gallagher Stadium
Maidstone United have announced new deals for goalkeeper Lenny Holden and defender George Fowler.
Holden, 20, ended the 2025/26 season as first-choice keeper at the Gallagher Stadium.
He took the gloves after Nathan Harness was sidelined with concussion and did so well that he kept his place.
Holden was among eight players offered new contracts by new manager Craig Fagan following a string of impressive performances, with Harness among 11 names released.
“I’m buzzing to be back for another season with Maidstone United,” said Holden.
“It’s a great club to be part of and I’m determined to keep improving and push as hard as I can to keep that No.1 spot.
“I’m looking forward to getting started again and seeing the fans back at the Gallagher.”
The announcement of Holden’s contract followed confirmation that Fowler would be staying at the club.
Fowler joined Maidstone initially on loan from Aldershot in the early months of the 2021/22 season and has barely missed a game since, making well over 200 appearances.
The 28-year-old, equally comfortable at centre-half and right-back, was also vice-captain under ex-boss George Elokobi.
“I’m really pleased to be staying at Maidstone United,” said Fowler.
“This is a club that means a lot to me and there’s a great feeling around the place heading into the new season.
“The supporters have always been brilliant with me and I’m excited to continue giving everything I can for the team.”
