Mahrez and Bernardo out as Man City fans choose their FA Cup lineup vs Southampton

Manchester City fans have been choosing their preferred starting XI as their side travel to Southampton in the FA Cup this afternoon.

The Blues will be smarting after a goalless draw with Crystal Palace on Monday allowed Liverpool to close the gap to one point in the Premier League table. However, Pep Guardiola's men have the chance to distract themselves from the title challenge as they visit the Saints in the FA Cup Quarter Finals on Sunday.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's men have held City to a draw in both of the matches they have played this season. Most recently, the Blues needed an Aymeric Laporte header to cancel out a Kyle Walker-Peters strike as the two teams shared the spoils.

With that in mind, City fans have gone for a strong starting XI to take to the field at St Mary's this weekend. Take a look below.

Goalkeeper - Ederson

City fans have opted against their cup 'keeper Zack Steffen taking the reigns in goal on Sunday. The Brazilian shot-stopper has been in good form for Pep Guardiola so far this season and City fans clearly do not want to take any risks this Sunday.

Defenders - Walker, Laporte, Stones, Cancelo

Also unchanged is the defensive back four. All of the defenders kept a clean sheet at Selhurst Park at the start of the week and supporters clearly see no need to change it.

Midfielders - Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne

The first change City fans would make sees Ilkay Gundogan come in for Bernardo Silva. The German was on the bench against Palace but has featured in all three of the previous rounds in the FA Cup.

Forwards - Jesus, Grealish, Foden

The second and final change for City would give Gabriel Jesus
