M60 crash causes two miles of queues and 30 minute waits

There are long queues on the M60 this afternoon following a crash.

Officers are on the scene following the incident on the clockwise carriageway near junction 12 for Salford. Currently there are delays of up to 30 minutes with two miles of congestion.

National Highways said: "Lane 1 (of 3) is CLOSED on the M60 clockwise WITHIN J12 M602, M62 due to a traffic collision.

"National Highways Traffic Officers and Recovery are on scene. There are 30 minute delays and approx. 2 miles of congestion.

Traffic is now easing following the earlier problems on the M60.

The crash has now been cleared but traffic remains backed up.

In an update Inrix said: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M60 clockwise at J12 (Eccles Interchange). Congestion to J10 (Trafford Centre)."

The traffic monitoring service Inrix says: "One lane closed and queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident on M60 clockwise at J12 (Eccles Interchange). Congestion to J10 (Trafford Centre)."
