M60 chaos LIVE as drivers hit with lane closures and long delays - latest updates

Drivers have been hit with chaos on the M60 this afternoon after a crash closed a number of lanes on the motorway.

Two lanes have been closed by police at junction 15 for the M61 and junction 1 for Swinton Interchange.

According to traffic site INRIX: "Long delays and two lanes closed due to accident on M60 clockwise at J15 M61 J1 (Swinton Interchange)."

No further details about the nature of the incident have been released at this stage.

Drivers are facing queues of 10 minutes on the M60, according to the National Highways website.

Normal traffic conditions are expected between 5pm and 5.15pm.

All lanes are now back open and the earlier crash has been cleared, according to the travel alert service Inrix.
