M4 traffic is stopped completely after Prince of Wales bridge crash
A crash on the M4 on the Prince of Wales Bridge has been causing long delays. Traffic monitors showed that one lane was blocked on the eastbound side of the bridge.
Traffic was temporarily held just after 7am so the vehicles involved could be moved from the scene. They were moved before 7.25am and traffic was able to move again.
Roadworks are also taking place on the bridge. Traffic monitoring system Inrix said on Wednesday morning: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M4 Prince of Wales Bridge Eastbound from J23 M48 to J22 (M49 Interchange). Cameras show all traffic has now been released, residual delays remain."
Traffic cameras showed heavy congestion on the approach to the bridge, but it had eased by 8am. Join our WhatsApp news community here for the latest breaking news
