M4 crash causes major delays for commuters
Traffic was held at a standstill on the M4 on Monday morning following a crash on a key junction, affecting all drivers heading across the Prince of Wales bridge and towards Bristol.
Traffic Wales warned of a crash on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge at around 7.30am, which took around one hour to clear. Traffic cameras showed standstill traffic in the eastbound direction, between junction 22 and 23, and drivers were being diverted over the M48 Severn Bridge.
A spokesperson for Traffic Wales said: "There has been an accident on M4 Eastbound J23 Rogiet - J22 Pilning/Prince of Wales Bridge. Delays are possible. Allow extra travel time."
The incident has now been cleared from the M4, and traffic flow has returned to normal.
