M4 congestion warning issued with 30-minute queues between Cardiff and Newport - live updates

A congestion warning has been issued for one part of the M4 in south Wales. Motorists are being warning of heavy traffic between Cardiff and Newport.

There are no accidents or incidents to report but there are queues between junction 28 Tredegar Park and junction 29 at Cardiff. The warning area was increased back to junction 29 just before midday.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix is reporting 30-minute delays heading eastbound towards the Brynglas Tunnels.
