Luke Littler branded 'arrogant' by raging rival after astonishing Belgian Darts Open stooshie

Opponent of teenage darts hero Luke Littler, Ricardo Pietreczko, has blasted the young contender for his "arrogance" in their Semi-Final match at the Belgian Darts Open on Sunday. The 30 year old veteran is calling for a penalty against the teenager following his controversial antics during the game.

The German darts star clashed with Littler after the latter claimed victory ensuring his place in the final round. It appears that Pietreczko's frustration stemmed from Littler's attempt at an unconventional finish during the sixth leg of their Semi-Final match.

With a 3-2 lead and a check out of 147 on the horizon, Littler chose to go for triple 19, double 20 and bullseye. Unfortunately, his second dart missed the board entirely. Despite losing that leg, Littler went on to win the next four legs, earning him a spot in the final against Rob Cross. After the match, a heated exchange between the two players took place as they shook hands.

Pietreczko was noticeably upset and confronted Littler about his conduct before leaving the stage, reports the Express. After leaving the venue, Pietreczko took to Instagram to voice his feelings about the incident. While he commended the young talent for playing senior-level darts so proficiently at such a young age, he did not hold back on his perception of Littler's attitude.

He labelled the 17 year old as arrogant and expressed his hope that this trait would serve as a lesson for him. "So I appreciated him a lot that you can play such a game at such an age," Pietreczko stated on his Instagram story. But I hope the arrogance punishes him."

Litter also went on Facebook to talk about what happened, saying: "No idea what I did wrong, no idea what he said," and "He said something then don't
