Luis Suarez tells Edu why Arsenal should poach Liverpool and West Ham's dream £60m Uruguay star

Arsenal must set up their own scouting mission so the club can put themselves in the best position to steal Liverpool and West Ham’s top transfer target who has been backed by Luis Suarez.

According to the Football insider, the Reds have set their signs on signing Benfica forward Darwin Nunez in the summer transfer window.

This comes after West Ham’s hot pursuit for the Uruguyan forward in the January transfer window as they reportedly tried to desperately get the deal over the line before deadline day which they failed.

The Hammers’ failure to sign Nunez, has created an excellent opportunity for Arsenal to swoop in for the striker to solve the striker shortages ahead of next season.

Signing a striker is a necessity for the Gunners in the summer transfer window due to the likely departure of Alexandre Lacazette, as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

If the Frenchman does depart from the club then the Gunners could be left with just one recognised striker in the form of Folarin Balogun, as Nketiah’s contract is also set to expire at the end of the campaign.

Nunez should certainly be a part of Edu’s potentially striker signing list due to the qualities he has shown with Benfica over the past couple of seasons.

But it is this season where the forward has shown that he is set to become a top striker in the coming seasons, having scored 20 goals in 20 games in the Portuguese first division so far in this camp.

The 22-year-old has also shown that he can score at the elite level, as he has grabbed three goals in Benfica’s Champions League run this season, where he played a major part in knocking out European powerhouse Barcelona from the group stages.
