Luis Palma transfer climax as Celtic target on verge of Aris exit and bold prediction is put to the test
In-demand Luis Palma was no show at Aris training on Thursday with Celtic namechecked as his most likely destination.
The 23-year-old Honduran winger has been linked with a clutch of clubs across Europe, including Rangers, but his absence appears to signal a transfer end game for the players with admirers Stateside and in Saudi Arabia. But it's understood Palma wants to remain in Europe and Celtic – according to two updates in Greece over the past 24 hours – have been named as his most likely landing spt.
Palma landed on the radar of scouts with his 20 goal contributions last season. His attacking verve was a bonus for his side and his goals and assists have led to Aris fielding multiple calls over one of their key men. And Aris sporting director – when addressing his links with Rangers – made clear he believes the next move for Palma will not be the last for a player he is certain has an upwards career trajectory. He said: "He is a player with a lot of room for development. He's not finished."
