Lucy Mecklenburgh doesn't want to 'fool' fans as she opens up on surgery plans after health diagnosis

Lucy Mecklenburgh has told fans she doesn't want to 'fool' anyone as she gave an update on a recent health diagnosis. Earlier this year she shared her shock after being diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis after suffering 'usual symptoms'.

The former TOWIE star, who is engaged to Ryan Thomas, had previously praised ITV show This Morning for doing a segment on the subject. But at the time, she said she wasn't ready to talk about her own diagnosis as she tried to get used to it herself.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Meanwhile, adenomyosis is a gynaecologic condition that causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus.

Lucy then later opened up about having the 'severe' condition and told her followers it has 'really affected her' since giving birth to daughter Lilah in 2022.

At the time the mum-of-two shared a picture of herself taken in the mirror showing her bloated stomach and said: “The joys of endometriosis and adenomyosis. I'm actually fed up of trying to cover the bloating I get 80 percent of the time. This is actually mild bloating for me. I've tried every spanx, every supplement (even though I knew they prob wouldn't work) eating well and exercising does hugely help."

She added: "But the anxiety of spring/summer approaching and wearing swimwear and summer clothes in general is really getting to me. I know there's so many worse things but it's so horrible having zero control of symptoms like bloating even with a healthy
