LSU LB Whit Weeks has fracture in leg, sources say - ESPN

LSU linebacker Whit Weeks sustained a fracture in his lower right leg during a win over Texas A&M on Saturday, sources told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

The injury isn't believed to be season-ending, sources told Rittenberg.

Weeks, who missed five games with a leg injury last season, is second on the team with 23 tackles. He has 2.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries.

A permanent team captain, Weeks was a first-team All-SEC pick in 2024.

After the game, LSU coach Lane Kiffin didn't have an update on Weeks' status. But he did say, «Obviously it didn't look good when he walked off.»

Weeks was seen on crutches with a boot on his foot.

LSU has a few different options at linebacker with Weeks out: Davhon Keys, Zach Weeks, Charles Ross II, Tylen Singleton and Keylan Moses.
