Super League rugby star Jacques O'Neill is planning to take a break from his sport and enter the famous Love Island villa fior its hotly-anticipated summer series.
Jacques, 23, a Castleford Tigers player, has been lined up by ITV to be a potential contestant on the most famous dating show in the UK next month, Yorkshire Live reports. Love Island participants are known to make a living as Instagram and YouTube influencers after their debut on the show, so his career path could take a very different turn.
Due to a serious injury, O'Neill had to undergo major hamstring surgery which has hampered his Super League career over the past 12 months. If selected as a contestant to appear on the show, he will try to make connections with fellow housemates and ultimately fall in love.
