Louis Rees-Zammit NFL announcement Live: Kansas City Chiefs name 53-man roster
Kansas City Chiefs will today announce if Louis Rees-Zammit has made the NFL Super Bowl champions' 53-man roster for the new season.
The Welshman has faced a tough challenge since quitting rugby in a shock January announcement, and Tuesday will be a huge day after months of hard work.
In truth, the odds are stacked against Rees-Zammit. He has shown moments of quality that have impressed coaches and fans during pre-season but he is clearly raw as he learns the intricacies of a new sport. A place on the Chiefs' practice squad for the next year is perhaps more likely, but his wide skillset could yet see him sneak in if the Chiefs can find room on the roster for a 'project player'.
The Chiefs have until 9pm UK time to confirm their roster, with a number of players already let go on Monday.
