Lordswood’s home FA Cup second qualifying round match against Sittingbourne will be broadcast live on BBC red button and iPlayer service on Saturday, September 14

Lordswood’s home FA Cup match against Sittingbourne will be broadcast live on national television.

Nicky Southall’s team are through to the second qualifying round of the competition for the first time in their history and take on Isthmian South East Sittingbourne next Saturday.

The BBC have chosen to broadcast the game live on their ‘red button’ television service and BBC iPlayer. The match at Martyn Grove will kick off at 12.30pm.

The earlier start means former Gills legend Southall and his team could get some extra supporters through the gate as Gillingham play Tranmere at home (3pm) on the same Saturday (September 14).

Lordswood - who play step-five football in the SCEFL Premier Division - have already won three games in the competition’s early rounds, beating Erith & Belvedere 1-0 in the extra-preliminary round, Shoreham 3-1 in the next match and then beat higher-league side Binfield in the first qualifying round last Saturday, winning 3-1.
