Loose Women star makes live 'apology' after admitting she's 'overwhelmed' by partner's health struggles

A Loose Women star has made a live ‘apology’ after admitting that she’s ‘overwhelmed’ by her partner's health struggles.

The admission came from ITV panelist Nadia Sawalha during Thursday’s (September 25) edition of the weekday talk show.

Nadia has been married to Mark Adderley since 2002, going on to have children Maddy, 22, and 18-year-old Kiki with him.

The popular star previously spoke about how Mark achieved sobriety after struggling with alcohol for many years.

Thursday's episode saw the panelists discussing Wayne Rooney’s comments about how he is 'managed' by his wife Coleen after past struggles.

Speaking to Kaye Adams, former Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse and comedienne Judi Love, Nadia reflected on how she supported her husband.

“Yeah. I like to think more of supporting… Mark does have mental health issues, and I support him through that from a position of, 'I'm so lucky, I don't go through it'.

She continued: "I just have so empathy and sympathy for people that struggle with addiction and mental health. It's not an easy swipe this way or that."

Nadia went on to say that it took her a while to notice Mark’s struggles after meeting him and they’re co-dependent in their relationship.

"I'd already seen his heart and his soul and his beautiful brain and all those things. If you say it's managing or rescuing, there was no choice because I was already there with who he was,” she noted.
