Long delays on M60 stretch after 'multi-vehicle' crash

Long delays are building on a stretch of the M60 this morning after a 'multi-vehicle crash'.

Two lanes have been shut off on the clockwise side of the motorway. They are closed from junction 12 for Eccles to junction 13 for Worsley.

Traffic officers are on the scene. Queues and delays are building up to the closure.

National Highways said in a post on X: "Lane 1 and 2 (of 3) are CLOSED on the #M60 clockwise WITHIN J12 #Eccles #M602 due to a multi-vehicle traffic collision. National Highways Traffic Officers and @NWmwaypolice are on scene.

"There are 30 minute delays and approx. 2 miles of congestion."
