LOI transfers: Bohemians sign Estonia international striker Sten Reinkort

Bohemians have bolstered their forward line with the signing of Estonian international striker Sten Reinkort.

The 25-year-old joins the Dublin club from Flora Tallinn on a multi-year contract.

Bohs will be hoping that he fills the void left by last season's top scorer Jonathan Afolabi following the former Republic of Ireland underage international's switch to Belgian club KV Kortrijk in December.

Fellow forward Dean Williams had also departed Dalymount Park weeks earlier to join rivals Shelbourne.

Welcoming Reinkort into his squad, Bohemians manager Declan Devine said the striker department was a key area to fill following those exits and backed the Estonian to thrive.

"Sten ticks all the boxes for us. He is a full international for Estonia. He has played in a lot of high-profile games. I have watched his Champions League performances for Flora Tallin and he is a huge presence," said Devine.

"He is a huge lad with great mobility. He holds the ball up well and in 2022 was voted the best striker in the Estonian Premier Division. He has a really good pedigree, and room to grow and improve.

"We are looking forward to working with Sten. He trained very well this morning, and he has a lot of attributes that will help us as a team moving forward, so I am delighted to have him on board, and there will be another centre forward or two added to the squad in the coming weeks."

Aside from Reinkort, midfielder Dayle Rooney and the return of defender Rob Cornwall have been the two main arrivals into Bohs' first-team squad.
