Bohemians announce arrivals of Estonia international pair

Bohemians have announced the double signing of Estonian international pair Martin Miller and Michael Lilander from Flora Talinn on multi-year deals.

Miller is an attacking midfielder who has won 31 caps for his country, while Lilander is a versatile defender with 16 caps.

"Martin and Michael have been on our radar for a number of months," said Bohs manager Declan Devine.

"They bring tremendously versatility in areas where we felt we had to strengthen. They also bring great experience – from playing in European games, winning leagues and playing at international level.

"Michael can play in multiple positions across the back four. He has played for both Flora Tallinn and Estonia at left-back, right-back and centre-back. He is a very technical and attack-minded full-back, and he is someone we certainly feel will add competition and real quality to our defensive unit.

"Again, Martin is a player with great experience. He has 31 international caps, has played at a very high level and has five league titles under his belt. He is a very attack-minded midfield player, as people here may remember from him scoring twice against Shamrock Rovers in Europe before."

The signings of Miller and Lilander bring the number of new arrivals at Dalymount Park this close season to five. They join fellow Estonian Sten Reinkort, while Dayle Rooney has joined from Drogheda United Rob Cornwall has returned to the club after a two-year spell playing for USL League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm.

Bohemians kick off their 2024 SSE Airtricity Premier Division campaign at home to Sligo Rovers on Friday 16 February.

Their Dublin derby away to Bohemians will be broadcast on RTÉ2 on Friday 29 March and is one of four confirmed live League of Ireland
