Livingston midfielder says it's too early to talk about six-pointers - but form needs to change quickly
Livingston midfielder Jason Holt says it's too early in the season to talk about six-pointers but insists the Lions do need to start climbing the table sooner rather than later.
Livi head into today's home clash with Ross County sitting at the foot of the table and looking to avoid a seventh straight league loss.
But despite their poor run of form, they sit just four points behind their eighth placed visitors and a change in fortunes could see David Martindale's side rise up the table quickly.
He said: "Six games is a long time without a win and although it's early in the season, we don't want it to drag on too long because you can find yourself adrift.
"I think it’s too early to talk about it being a six pointer but at the same time you've got to realise the importance of the game. Obviously we've lost the last six and we're not in a great place but as a group the best thing we can do is try and be as positive as you can.
"It is a big game, we're under no illusion, and we need to try and turn things around sooner rather than later but it's still early in the season."
He added: "It's difficult because when you're losing games, naturally the mood is lower but the only way out of that is to realise the situation we're in but also be as positive as we can.
"We know the more games we lose, the next one becomes even more important. In general we're just trying to rally around each other as a collective. We're bottom of the league and we know we're in a difficult position but the squad is more than capable of getting out of.
"The league's very tight. This is my fourth season here and we've been in this position two or three times when we've maybe lost four or five and the squad's turned things around. It can only take one or
