Livingston eyeing up summer move for Championship defender

Livingston are targeting a summer move for Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Robbie Deas.

Our sister paper, Daily Record, reports that David Martindale is eyeing up the 22-year-old former Celtic centre-back as a possible replacement for Jack Fitzwater who is set to depart the Tony Macaroni Arena when his contract expires in the summer.

He has been a solid contributor to Billy Dodds’ side since arriving in the Highlands in August 2020.

He made a remarkable comeback for Caley in their Championship defeat to Hamilton on Tuesday night - coming just four months after sustaining a broken leg.

The Lions currently have Dominican Republic international Luiyi de Lucas as their only centre-back under contract for next season and he’s yet to make his Lions debut after signing during the January transfer window.

However, both Morgan Boyes and Ayo Obileye have one-year options that could be picked up by the club.
