Liverpool: What did Mohamed Salah say to Jorginho in penalty shoot-out?

Part of Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah will be disappointed that he failed to get on the scoresheet against his former club Chelsea during Sunday’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

The Egyptian forward has been in scintillating form once again this season, scoring 27 goals in 32 games for the Reds.

Salah has also set up 10 more goals for his teammates so far this season and many football fans believe that, on current form, he’s the world’s best player.

The 29-year-old went close to breaking the deadlock at one point but watched as his goal-bound shot was cleared off the line by Chelsea’s veteran centre-back Thiago Silva.

After a goalless 120 minutes, the final was eventually decided on penalties.

Salah was one of 11 Liverpool players that successfully converted their spot-kicks in the shoot-out against Chelsea’s substitute goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Kepa then stepped up and fired his penalty high over the crossbar, handing Liverpool the Carabao Cup in the process.

Salah took Liverpool’s fifth penalty in the shoot-out. He was followed by Jorginho, who had to score to keep Chelsea in the game.

As Salah walked back to the halfway line to rejoin his teammates, football fans think their star player said to the Italian: “Don’t jump”.
