Liverpool vs Manchester United U21s LIVE updates from Premier League 2 fixture

Manchester United's under-21s are in action away at Liverpool on Saturday lunchtime.

Mark Dempsey's side have started the new Premier League 2 season slowly, with two draws and two defeats so far. Today they head to the Liverpool academy hoping to really kickstart their season.

Midweek saw the United youngsters see off League Two side Carlisle in their opening Papa Johns Trophy group stage clash, with Charlie McNeill and Omari Forson helping seal a 2-1 win. Both will be hoping to be involved in this exciting encounter today.

Several academy players left United on loan towards the end of the transfer window, with Will Fish, Ethan Galbraith and Charlie Wellens among the youngsters who departed.
