Liverpool sent Nottingham Forest warning as Reds appeal made

Head coach Steve Cooper wants Nottingham Forest to harness the winning mentality they are creating at the City Ground, having clinched their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The Reds saw off Huddersfield Town, 2-1, on the banks of the Trent to set up a home clash with Premier League giants Liverpool in the next round.

It puts them one game away from reaching a semi-final at Wembley, with a promotion push also still on the cards as the Championship season reaches its climax.

But Cooper says his focus will quickly turn to a league meeting with Reading at the weekend, rather than looking ahead to a date with Jurgen Klopp’s men.

“I’m only focused on Reading now. That’s the only thing on my mind,” he said.

Nottingham Forest fans have cheekily predicted that Liverpool star Mo Salah will be in the "pocket" of their defenders when the two clubs clash in the FA Cup quarter-final this month.

Salah is expected to be in the Liverpool starting 11 when the two clubs clash on Sunday, March 20 which is the last game before the international break.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has already been warned not to field a weakened team against Steve Cooper's side after they secured brilliant wins over Leicester City and Arsenal and disposed of Huddersfield 2-1 at the City Ground tonight.

But Forest fans say it does not matter if Salah graces the City Ground because a number of Reds defenders are ready to put him under close watch.

Here's what they had to say on Twitter.
