Liverpool's Mohamed Salah was devastated after fan told him score at Man City

There was heartbreak aplenty at Anfield yet again yesterday as Liverpool came within a single point of winning the Premier League title.

Liverpool fans could only listen on in horror as fierce rivals Manchester City produced an astonishing comeback against Aston Villa to clinch domestic glory in the most dramatic fashion.

The Anfield faithful were beginning to believe that a miracle was on the cards, especially when old boy Philippe Coutinho put Villa 2-0 midway through the second-half at the Etihad.

The atmosphere was slowly beginning to build inside the the famous old stadium as they roared their men forward in search of a goal that could potentially win the lot.

By the time that goal came, however, the title race had been flipped completely on its head thanks to a chaotic five minute-spell in Manchester.

Inspired by the ever-reliable Ilkay Gundogan, City smashed three goals passed a shell-shocked Villa to render events at Anfield null and void.
