Liverpool: Footage of new signing Fabio Carvalho gives off serious Coutinho vibes

Liverpool have had their eyes firmly set on the future in the summer transfer window.

While the Reds have always been one to champion youthful signings, the reality is that their ‘Golden Generation’ under Jurgen Klopp has started to rank amongst the oldest squads in the Premier League.

It’s easy to forget, for example, that the fabled front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are now all 30 years old.

And although that’s still perfectly young and fresh in the wider context of life, it’s nevertheless an indicator in football that dipping into the transfer market for up and coming stars is probably the way to go.

However, Liverpool didn’t need telling that because their entire 2022 spending policy seems to have orbited around a long-term vision that suggests the club is cleverly regenerating and evolving under Klopp.

And you can bet your bottom dollar that a certain Fabio Carvalho will play a huge role in that.

Snapped up on a five-year deal from Fulham to the tune of £5 million with a further £2.7 million in add-ons, the 19-year-old is the latest youngster to come through the door at Melwood in recent months.
