Liverpool fans love Darwin Nunez's reaction to Fabio Carvalho's winner v Newcastle

Liverpool fans are loving Darwin Nunez’s passionate celebration after Fabio Carvalho netted a last-gasp winning goal against Newcastle United on Wednesday night.

Nunez was sat in the stands for a third consecutive Premier League fixture following his red card against Crystal Palace on August 15.

The 23-year-old, who signed from Benfica in June for a club-record fee of £85 million, scored on the opening weekend of the season against Fulham but let himself down in the following match by head-butting Palace defender Joachim Andersen.

Liverpool suffered a shock 2-1 defeat away at rivals Manchester United in their first of three games without Nunez before bouncing back with a record-equalling 9-0 win over Bournemouth last Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were then given a tough match by Newcastle, whose new £60 million signing Alexander Isak broke the deadlock before half-time with a superb finish.

However, Roberto Firmino equalised with 30 minutes remaining before Carvalho’s dramatic winning goal in the eighth minute of stoppage-time sealed all three points for the Merseyside outfit.

There were clashes between members of Liverpool and Newcastle’s bench after Carvalho’s winner.

One person on Newcastle’s bench was filmed throwing an object at Liverpool staff, while the away team’s players were booed off the pitch at full-time by the home supporters.

Liverpool vs Newcastle has been one of the Premier League era’s most pulsating fixtures but Wednesday’s clash was among the most hostile encounters between the two northern clubs.

Nunez, who showed he’s game for a fight against Palace, appeared to be in his element as everyone inside Anfield lost their heads.

Footage has emerged of Nunez’s celebration and, as the caption on the tweet
