Liverpool fans filmed being pepper sprayed before Champions League final
Liverpool fans have been filmed being pepper sprayed by police outside the Stade de France in Paris shortly before Saturday night’s Champions League final got underway.
Kick-off for the Liverpool vs Real Madrid clash was delayed by 36 minutes as chaos ensued outside the stadium.
The final was relocated from Russia to the Stade de France in February but the scenes before kick-off were deeply concerning.
There were shocking reports that tear gas and pepper spray were used on supporters attending the game.
And ESPN’s Mark Ogden posted footage of Liverpool fans being pepper sprayed which racked up thousands of retweets and likely shortly after being uploaded to Twitter.

Goal.com’s Liverpool correspondent, meanwhile, posted a video of furious Liverpool fans describing their experience of the situation outside the ground:
Fans with tickets, locked out, tear gassed. Treated like dogs because the organisers didn't organise. #LFC
