Liverpool: Chelcee Grimes says Mo Salah is "best player in the world"
Right now, Liverpool fans have a lot to be excited about — a world class squad, a successful manager, and after an exhilarating Carabao Cup final, another trophy for the cabinet.
Among the millions of Reds enjoying Jordan Henderson’s famous lift was Chelcee Grimes — footballer, singer-songwriter, television presenter, and most of all a diehard Liverpool fan.
Grimes has also worked with the club to host the hit social media series ‘Bezzies’, and she recently sat down with GiveMeSport Women to discuss her infinite love for the Reds and her role as a woman working in football.
Like most Liverpool supporters, Grimes grew up idolising the likes of Steven Gerrard and Kenny Dalglish, and identified Virgil van Dijk as the player she most enjoys watching.
Indeed, the Dutchman dominated the backline in the Carabao Cup final, and came away with the Alan Hardaker Trophy for his Man of the Match performance, as well as his winners’ medal.
The stalemate against Chelsea went all the way to penalties, which ended 11-10 in favour of the Reds after substitute goalkeeper Kept Arrizabalaga sent his spot-kick soaring over the crossbar.
