Liverpool chasing Man City: The biggest Premier League title comebacks ever

Liverpool hammered Leeds United 6-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night, reducing the gap between them and league leaders, Manchester City, to just three points.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are yet to lose a game in 2022, with their last defeat coming against Leicester City back in December. 

Their impressive run of form has seen them climb their way back into contention for the Premier League title, just as Pep Guardiola’s side have finally slipped up having not lost a match since October 2021.

The Citizens were knocked back a peg on Saturday afternoon, ironically, thanks to a late winner from Harry Kane, who was heavily backed to sign for the club last summer.

Spurs ultimately toppled the league champions 3-2 and giving Liverpool a ray of hope.

Thanks to last weekend’s results, Klopp’s side are now able to overturn, what was at one stage this season, an eight-point deficit.

They now sit within touching distance of the league leaders

But both sides also have a tough run of games ahead.

It seems we could be in for an epic finish to the Premier League this season, with Liverpool still able to catch City if they continue to win games.

There’s no doubt the resilience and determination from Klopp’s side should be admired, and if they are to catch the league champions, it could be one of the greatest title turnarounds in the history of the English top-flight.
