Police are investigating reports of a rape near a Morrison's supermarket in Rochdale. Four boys, the youngest aged 12, have been arrested.
Today an area of land near Newbold Metrolink station in Rochdale has been cordoned off as an investigation into the incident continues.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers were called at 6pm on Saturday night to reports of a rape in the area. A spokesman for the force said the victim was being supported.

Four suspect, boys aged 12, 12, 14 and 14, have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement to the Manchester Evening News: "At around 6pm on Saturday 10 February 2024, officers were called to reports of a rape in Newbold, Rochdale.
"Four boys aged 12, 13, 14, 14 have been arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in police custody. The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers."
The force has been asked to clarify the age and sex of the alleged victim. Follow live updates of the incident below.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police has clarified that the alleged victim is a female child.
The GMP statement said help was available for victims of sex crimes.
