Live updates as seven lorries 'well alight' in major fire at haulage company's headquarters in Crymych, Pembrokeshire

Fire crews are dealing with a "large fire" at a haulage yard in Pembrokeshire. Crews from six stations are at the scene of the blaze. Pembrokeshire Council said that firefighters are currently in attendance at a large fire at the Mansel Davies & Son yard at Llanfyrnach, north Pembrokeshire, near Crymych.

A statement added: "Residents living in the area are advised to keep doors and windows closed."

Mid & West Fire Service said they were called at 12.03pm on Thursday (May 4) to reports of a large amount of smoke and fire.

A spokesman said: "On arrival, seven lorries were well alight and crews used two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus sets and a water bowser to extinguish."

Crews from Crymych, Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan, Milford Haven, Whitland and Pembroke Dock were called.

The incident is currently ongoing and crews are damping down at the scene.
