Live updates as serious crash closes Swansea road

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash involving a car and a bicycle in Orchard Street, Swansea. The cyclist, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital.

South Wales Police say the road is currently closed in both directions between Belle Vue Way and College Street. It is expected to remain closed for some time.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area. The air ambulance landed nearby but the man was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
