Live updates as M4 lanes are closed again near Swansea for repairs to damaged safety barriers

There are lane closures once more on the M4 due to damaged safety barrier repair works.

Traffic Wales said further lane closures would be in place on the M4 from 9pm on Thursday (June 1) until Saturday (June 3), affecting Junction 47, Penllergaer, to Junction 48, Hendy, in both directions.

"This work is essential in ensuring that the road remains safe for all road users," it said.

It comes after there were long delays over Tuesday and Wednesday around Junctions 46, 47 and 48, with traffic queuing for miles.
