Live updates as M4 in Newport blocked due to fire and broken down vehicle

A vehicle fire and a broken down vehicle are causing significant disruption on the M4.

One lane is closed and there is queueing traffic, with the exit slip road partially blocked due to the blaze on the M4 eastbound from junction 25, Caerleon, to junction 24, Coldra.

The fire service and South Wales Police have both been pictured at the scene.

Lane one of two is closed and the exit slip road is also partially blocked. Traffic is also slow on the opposite carriageway.

Meanwhile, there are more delays along junction 27 and 28 westbound, as a result of a broken down vehicle, with "heavy delays" expected.
