Live updates as crash shuts A465 near Hereford
Police are at the scene of a crash on the A465. The incident happened at around 4pm and affects the road near the Welsh border towards Pontrilas, Hereford.
The road is currently shut while diversions are in place. Motorists are asked to use alternative routes, with traffic expected in the area. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "Emergency services are dealing with a RTC on the A465 towards Pontrilas. The road is currently closed, and diversions are in place which may cause congestion. There are also two further crashes affecting roads in south east Wales. The A4042 westbound has been closed since 4pm due to a crash from Croes-y-mwyalch Roundabout to Newport Road (Woodlands Roundabout). According to Inrix there is heavy traffic in the area.
The A466 Wye Valley Link Road has also been closed in both directions since around 10.30am due to a crash. The road is affected from M48 J2 (Chepstow, Bulwark) to A48 Newport Road (Highbeech Roundabout, Chepstow). There is congestion to roads through Bulwark as traffic diverts.
