Live updates as crash on M4 near Miskin causes delays with debris strewn across motorway

Emergency services are at the scene of an incident on the M4 near Bridgend on Friday morning. It has been reported that a van is involved and lanes are closed on both side of the carriageway after the vehicle hit the central reservation.

Traffic Wales, which monitors the main routes in Wales, says they are dealing with "an incident" heading westbound between junction 34 Miskin and junction 35 Pencoed. They said: "Beware of congestion in the area. Emergency services are on scene."

There had been a warning that low sun glare was causing issues for drivers in the area this morning. Traffic monitoring system Inrix is warning that there is some debris on the eastbound carriageway.
