Live updates as car overturns on busy Cardiff road

A car has overturned on a busy Cardiff road during the morning rush hour. It has happened on Ely Road, Llandaff, just after 8.15am on Monday.

The road has been cordoned off and police are at the scene as recovery works gets underway. Pictures from the scene show a car on its side in the middle of the road.

A local resident said they heard a "bang, bang". They saw the overturned car and helped to direct traffic in the area.

South Wales Police officers are at the scene. The force has been contacted for further information.
