Easter getaway traffic and delays: Live updates as holidaymakers face gridlocked road, flight cancellations and ferry woes
Thousands of people are heading away in the run-up to Easter but face long queues, delays and cancellations. The majority of schools in Wales are breaking up today for the holidays.
But the UK's aviation watchdog, the Civil Aviation Authority, has written to airports and airlines to express concern over the impact of staff shortages on international travel that has seen huge queues at some airports in the past week.
The Authority says late-notice cancellations and "excessive" delays could hit consumer confidence.

Several airlines and airports are struggling to cope with staff sickness and shortages, with a total of more than 100 daily flights being cancelled by easyJet and British Airways.
Rail passengers are also being warned of disruption over Easter as Network Rail carries out 530 engineering projects costing a total of £83 million.
The roads are also expected to be busy. Traffic Wales said on Friday: "Easter Holidays in Wales and we are expecting the network to busier than normal."
