LIVE updates as air ambulance lands in Stockport

A major road has been taped off in Stockport this afternoon following an incident, with the air ambulance spotted nearby.

Emergency services have cordoned off Bramall Lane at the junctions with Kennerley Road and Garner's Lane on Saturday (May 31), with several ambulances reported to be on the scene.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the air ambulance land at Cale Green Park at around 2:15pm. The nature of the incident is not yet clear.

Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has been contacted for more information.
