Live updates as air ambulance lands at scene of accident

Emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision at Pen Dinas, Trealaw, Tonypandy. The air ambulance has also landed nearby on Monday afternoon.

Police say there were called just after 12pm to reports of a collision involving a driver and a pedestrian.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "The incident is ongoing, and the road is currently closed in both directions between Dinas Road junction with A4058 and Parc Afon."

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area.
