Live updates as A465 is shut in both directions after crash

The A465 through Monmouthshire is closed in both directions following a crash. The incident happened at around 2pm between Llangua and Pontrilas. Emergency services are at the scene and drivers are urged to find another route.

Traffic is described as stationary in the area. A Gwent Police spokesman said: "Emergency services are dealing with a road traffic collision on the A465 at Llangua, Abergavenny. The road is currently closed Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey. Thank you."
