LIVE: Police cordon off Domino's takeaway in Failsworth after man rushed to hospital

Police are on the scene at a north Manchester Domino's this morning following an incident which has seen a man rushed to hospital.

The Failsworth pizza shop, on Oldham Road, is taped off as officers conduct investigations.

Oldham Road remains open, with traffic able to pass. However the pavement directly in front of Domino's has been closed to pedestrians with police stationed outside the shop.

Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "At around 10pm yesterday (Sunday 17 March), police were called to an incident outside a premises on Oldham Road in Failsworth.

"A male was taken to the MRI for treatment of a head injury. A scene remains in place on Oldham Road while enquiries are ongoing."

The exact nature of the incident here is still unclear.

Not much happening at the scene at the moment, and no sign of forensics officers yet. Residents I’ve spoken to so far aren’t aware of what happened. One woman said: “It’s such a busy road, you get used to it.” @MENnewsdesk
